A port for Microsoft Windows was released the following year. It is based on Hasbro's Beast Wars: Transformers animated series, specifically the first season, after the introduction of Airazor and Inferno. It is the second game to be developed at Sony's Cambridge studio, now Guerrilla Cambridge. Takara, who co-owns the Transformers franchise, published the game in Japan.
