Coverage by language

5910 / 8870 retail releases have Japanese (ja) titles · 66.6%

34 / 225 retail releases have Korean (ko) titles · 15.1%

3 / 59 retail releases have Chinese (zh) titles · 5.1%

Denominator for each language = retail ROMs in that language's home region (jp for Japanese, kr for Korean, cn/tw/hk for Chinese). Numerator = entries carrying at least one title in that language, native script or Latin transliteration.

If you can read 日本語, 한글, or 中文, one minute on any game page fixes an entry forever. Every native-script title and every local description makes the DB more useful than the romaji-only alternatives.

Every other retro game DB (ScreenScraper, TheGamesDB, IGDB) still serves romaji even for Japan-, Korea-, or China-released titles. This one doesn't have to.
Contributions are CC BY-SA 4.0 — ROM managers, emulators, and scrapers can reuse them the moment they land.
No account friction: every game page has a pre-filled issue form for titles, descriptions, and box art. Attach or type, submit, done.
Fan transliterations are welcome too: leave the "verified" box unchecked if it's your own reading, not from the official package.
