The game follows Conker, a greedy, hard-drinking red squirrel who must return home to his girlfriend, Berri, after an evening of heavily drinking at the local pub. Most of the game requires the player to complete a linear sequence of challenges that involve jumping over obstacles, solving puzzles, and fighting enemies. A multiplayer mode in which up to four players can compete against each other in seven different game types is also included. Le jeu a été développé et édité par Rare, et aurait été distribué par Nintendo. Annoncé pour la première fois à l'E3 1997, le jeu aurait suivi l'environnement pour tous les âges de Conker's Pocket Tales, un titre portable sorti en 1999 sur Game Boy Color.

El juego iba a ser (presumiblemente, nunca recibió una clasificación real) un juego de aventura para niños. Sin embargo, debido a las críticas recibidas hacia Rareware, el juego fue rediseñado. Mientras que primero se creyó ser una broma, sin embargo el juego fue substituido por Conker's Bad Fur Day en 2001. El juego lanzado en su lugar fue clasificado "M" y dio el mundo de Conker un tono más adulto, con los caracteres pervertidos, una Berri más adulta (tanto en la personalidad y la apariencia), y una ardilla de plomo que ahora es un alcohólico. Algunos activos se mantuvieron de la versión original, como las flores en el capítulo Hungover, el espantapájaros y el molino de viento, pero en su mayor parte el juego fue completamente diferente.
