It was released for the Nintendo 64 console in 1998 and ported to Microsoft Windows computers in 1999. Seeds of Evil is the second game in the Turok video game series and a sequel to Turok: Dinosaur Hunter. The game follows the story of a Turok and his efforts to stop a powerful alien entity from escaping the confines of his Lightship. A different game set in the same fictional universe, also titled Turok 2: Seeds of Evil, was released for the Game Boy Color alongside the Nintendo 64 game. Seeds of Evil features a single-player campaign consisting of six levels and a multiplayer mode where various players can compete against each other in several game types. It supports the Nintendo 64 Expansion Pak, which enables an optional high-resolution graphics mode. The game was developed over a period of 21 months and was originally intended to be released on a 12MB cartridge without a multiplayer component, but was ultimately released on a 32MB cartridge. Ce fut un jeu très attendu car il proposait des graphismes impressionnants pour l'époque et un grand nombre d'ennemis et d'armes originaux. Ce fut un des premiers jeu de la Nintendo 64 à utiliser l'Expansion Pak, avec Star Wars: Rogue Squadron, Top Gear OverDrive et NFL Quarterback Club '99. Il a fait l'objet d'un remaster sur Windows, Xbox One et Nintendo Switch. Le jeu est un peu différent de son prédécesseur car il s'inspire plus de jeu comme GoldenEye 007. Il y a maintenant des objectifs de mission à accomplir, le maniement du personnage est similaire au jeu GoldenEye 007, il y a un Styracosaurus à chevaucher et un mode multijoueur. Une musique plus orchestrale remplace les bruits de jungle du premier épisode. Les ennemis quant à eux sont beaucoup plus intelligents : ils se mettent a couvert, ouvrent le feu, attaquent en groupe et même fuient quand le joueur transporte des armes de destruction massive. Fue un juego adelantado a su época, mostrando unos gráficos excelentes, una excelente banda sonora, además de un vasto y creativo arsenal de armas. También fue uno de los primeros juegos de Nintendo 64 en utilizar el aumento de RAM del Expansion Pak, como Star Wars: Rogue Squadron, Top Gear Overdrive y NFL Quarterback Club '99. Turok 2 difiere algo de su predecesor, estando más inspirado en uno de los éxitos de Nintendo 64 de aquella época, GoldenEye 007. Dabei ist die Bezeichnung „Turok“ ein Rang, den der aktuelle Beschützer der sogenannten „Lost Lands“ erhält. Jeder „Turok“ hat dementsprechend auch einen eigenen Namen, wie zum Beispiel „Tal'Set“ und Joshua Fireseed. Es handelt sich um einen amerikanischen Ureinwohner, der gegen Dinosaurier kämpft.
