source: wikipedia_enDungeon Explorer is an action role-playing video game developed by Atlus for the TurboGrafx-16 and originally published by Hudson Soft in Japan on March 4, 1989, and later in North America by NEC on November 15 of the same year. The first installment in the eponymous franchise, the game is set in the land of Oddesia, which has been overrun by an alien race and where players assume the role of one of eight main characters tasked with recovering the Ora stone to kill the alien king Natas. Co-directed by Kazutoshi Ueda and Yōsuke Niino, the title was created by most of the same team that would work on later several projects such as entries in the Megami Tensei series. Though it was initially launched for the TurboGrafx-16, it was later re-released through download services for various consoles. Dungeon Explorer garnered positive reception from critics during its initial release and is considered a pioneer title in the action role-playing game genre due to its co-operative multiplayer gameplay for up to five players, but has been met with a more mixed response from reviewers in recent years. source: wikipedia_ja『ダンジョンエクスプローラー』 (Dungeon Explorer) は、1989年3月4日に日本のハドソンから発売されたPCエンジン用アクションロールプレイングゲーム。 主人公を操作し、滅亡に瀕したコーネリア王国を救出するために王国に伝わる秘宝「アイラの玉」を探し出す事を目的としている。主人公の職業を8種類から選択できる事や、最大5人まで同時プレイが可能な事を特徴としている。 開発はアトラスが行い、ディレクターはユニバーサルのアーケードゲーム『Mr. Do!』（1982年）を手掛けた上田和敏およびゲームボーイ用ソフト『コスモタンク』（1990年）を手掛けた新野洋右が担当、音楽は『デジタル・デビル物語 女神転生』（1987年）を手掛けた増子司が担当している。 1995年には日本国外でのみSEGA-CDへ移植され、開発はウエストンが担当した。2004年には携帯電話ゲームとしてiアプリにて配信された他、バーチャルコンソール対応ソフトとして2006年にWii、2015年にWii Uにて配信された。2009年にはPlayStation 3およびPlayStation Portable用ソフトとしてゲームアーカイブスにて配信された（それ以外のリリース事例については、#移植版を参照）。

Le jeu a donné suite à Dungeon Explorer II sur PC Engine en 1993, Crystal Beans from Dungeon Explorer sur Super Famicom en 1995, et à deux autres épisodes, intitulés Dungeon Explorer, sur Nintendo DS et PSP en 2007. La version PC Engine est disponible en téléchargement sur Wii (2006), sur PlayStation 3 et PlayStation Portable (2009, PSN japonais seulement).
